Speaker: Dr. Peter Riskind, retired Professor of Neurology
Between 1791 to 1915, a section of the western Russian Empire called “The Pale of Settlement” existed where Jews were allowed to live and work. Our Family History monthly workshop on February 13, 2025, will feature a talk by Dr. Peter Riskind, a retired professor of Neurology. He will share his family history story about the Pale of Settlement and how his ancestors came to America and settled at the Texas-Mexico border. This talk will highlight information about Jewish heritage and Jewish immigration to the USA.
